Hello everyone!

I hope you are all doing well :) Firstly, thank you to everyone who left such encouraging comments on my last blog post regarding the Paper Crafter's Library spotlight on Designs by Ryn. It was wonderful to read through all of them! I'm glad that many of you were introduced to me through their post and do hope you continue to keep in touch.

I've randomly drawn a winner for the Blog Candy and it is... Morey! A big congratulations! Please get in touch through my Facebook Page or email (designsbyryn@gmail.com) with your mailing address.

Now onto showing off some of your sent in creations ;) Love the variety in this bunch!

Wilma used Silhouette Dove Set in this piece. The birds look like they're flying through mist. Beautiful effect! Wilma's got a start to finish tutorial on this piece HERE.

A neat pop-up card by Annette. She's used Flying Hummingbird 3. You can visit her blog post for this project HERE.

Love the contrast of the red, gold and black in this card by Jane. Very striking. You can visit her blog post for this project HERE.

A beauty by Barbara using Ornate Leaf Set. She created this at one of one of Eileen Godwin's classes. You can check out Barbara's post HERE.

Heike has embossed Sea Bubbles Set in gold and used Silhouette Dove Set in the top right of this card. Great placement of the mushrooms on the spirals. You can visit Heike's blog post HERE.

THANK YOU to all of you for sending in your art. All of these projects will be included in January's Customer Creation Draw for a free stamp. I will be announcing the Winner on the 1st of February.

Just in case you haven't heard about the Customer Creation Draw for a free stamp... I am now doing a random monthly draw for people who send in projects using my stamps. The winner is announced on the first day of each month on here. If you don't want me to share your art or name that is absolutely ok. Just let me know. I will still include you in the draw. If you win, I'll send you a free stamp. It's my little way of thanking people for taking the time to share their creations with me. You really do keep me going :)

Bye for now,

Paper Crafter's Library Give Away

Hello everyone,

Have you ever heard of the The Paper Crafter's Library website? They are a hub of inspiration featuring Art Journaling Tutorials every Monday and a different Company and Artist Spotlight weekly. You can really get lost for hours looking through all of their posts past to present.

Andrea Walford, the founder of Paper Crafter's Library has been a wonderful support of Designs by Ryn over the last two years. I got in touch with her when my company was in its infancy and she was kind enough to give me a chance and took me under her wing. At the time, I was barely staying afloat by showing my stamps at craft shows and festivals. They were a lot of work to do and although I connected with some neat people, most weren't interested in the type of designs that I offer. Thank goodness people like Andrea helped to promote my stamps on the Internet. Exposure through her Company Spotlights allowed my stamps to go beyond geographical boundaries to find people who appreciated them. My business is over three years old now and is continuing to blossom.

Today I'm once again a lucky girl. They've posted a wonderful company spotlight on Designs by Ryn :) This blog post includes a little bio on how I got started, a Give Away and also features a few cards by Miranda using stamps from my latest release. To take a look at their post and to enter the draw click HERE.

To celebrate, I'm also doing a Give Away on my blog. To enter the Draw all you have to do is leave a comment on this post. I will randomly draw a winner next Wednesday and announce here. Be sure to leave me a way to get in touch with you or don't forget to check back to see if you won :) Below are the three stamp sets I will be sending to the winner.

Striped Reed Set

Spiral Branch Set

Abstract Leaf Set

Miranda first designed for me as a Guest Designer in the fall of 2012. She quickly became a part of the permanent Design Team and has been a treasured member both for her beautiful art and wonderful warm heart. If you aren't familiar with Miranda's art I highly suggest popping by her blog HERE. Her cards are always inspiring. Below are some recent favorites from Miranda.

In this card Miranda used Day Lily, African Daisy, Leafy Branch and Lucine from my collection.

In this card Miranda used Pansies from my collection.

In this card Miranda used Pansies, Water Droplets, Trickling Water and Trickling Water Set.

In this card Miranda used Water Droplets and Maple Leaf from my collection.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you will keep in touch by visiting me here again, my Website, or on my Facebook Page. I post a new project on there every day either by my Design Team (who are ALL awesome!) or myself. I also have links to my Design Team's blogs on the right hand side if you would like to take a look at their art.

Bye for now :)

Customer Creation Gallery #8

Hello everyone!

Thanks for the comments on my last blog post. Always love hearing from you :)

You really do keep me going :) Many thanks!!!

Now on to showing off your beautiful creations...

Barbara's shared more cards with me than I can count over the last year and a half! It's been an absolute pleasure to see where she's taken her art over time. Many thanks to you Barbara for contributing to this space and to my Facebook Page. You've contributed a lot of inspiration and positive energy :) In this card she's used Sea Bubbles Set around the border. Her blog HERE.

I don't usually get to see creations using stamps from my Origami series. Today I have two to share! The first is by Sonja Boom. Great idea of Sonja's to combine Origami Turtle with Water Droplets 2 in this ATC. She doesn't yet have a blog.

Love the clean and simple composition in this card! Evil Edna has used Lucine from my moth collection. Her blog post HERE.

Another beauty from Evil Edna using Kelp. HERE is her blog post for this creation.

I was very happy to receive an email from Scott a few days ago with these three creations as attachments. He is the first man to send in his creations using my stamps. Awesome cards! Check out his blog HERE.

Love Nikki's take on Origami Pig. He looks right at home with all of those beautiful Japanese papers! Her blog post HERE.

A subtle use of some of my water effects stamps by Deb Freeman. I can spot Raindrop Set and Water Droplets 2 in there. Loving the layering in this mixed media piece!!! Deb shows her process in her blog post HERE. I found it fascinating to look through.

Lastly, a card by Shoshi using Tsuki from my moth collection. When I checked out her blog I was so excited to find an awesome video tutorial on how she made this card and matching envelope. It documents her whole process with inserted text to show the materials she is using. She's even included ideas that didn't quite work the way she had wanted and how her concept changed through the process. You can find her tutorial HERE.

That's all for now. These projects will all be added to January's Customer Creation Draw. Many thanks to all of you for sending in your art!!! Looking forward to seeing what you make next.

Bye for now :)

This year I will be continuing the Customer Creation Monthly Draw for a free stamp. To enter the draw send in a photo of anything that you've made using my stamps. The winner is announced on the first day of each month on my blog - today being a slight exception ;) If you don't want me to share your art or name that is absolutely ok. Just let me know. I will still include you in the draw. If you win, I'll send you a free stamp. It's my little way of saying thanks for taking the time to share your creations with me. You really do keep me going :) Many thanks!!!

Last months winner is... Heike Linnek! Her magical take on Water Droplets is below. HERE is a link to her blog.

I've got a lot in the works at the moment for Designs by Ryn. Finally after 3 years I feel like I'm understanding the basics of business (that is, with the painful exception of bookkeeping). I'm now dreaming of expanding in different ways and focusing on the creating aspect a little bit more. It's funny, I started this venture based on my art and have been so busy learning about business that I've hardly had time to create anything.

In response to the beautiful layering that I am seeing from my Design Team I am now researching the possibility of creating Stencils and offering Unmounted Rubber Sheets of my designs. I will keep you posted on what I come up with ;)

That's all from me at the moment. Thanks for stopping by!
